Author Topic: South Park Advertised on Cartoon Network  (Read 2613 times)

one channel can advertise shows on another channel.
they do that all the time for many of the networks.

i think south park has a new season starting tonight, im sure they want all affiliates to plug it.
isnt this one of the main reasons why all cable tv channels are only owned by like 6 companies? what would be the point of them merging and selling to each other if they couldn't use them like this?
I give up, American kids are already forgeted anyway.

you think all people watching cartoon network are only 8 year olds?
im sure the majority of it's viewers are of age for south park.

its not the network's job to protect children. they have already done enough by being a cable channel.
It's the parent's job from there.

I think that South Park should be shown on all children channels. Most of the cartoons aren't good anymore.

my dad says KOTH isb ad for some mysterious reason, it has hardly any cursing, nudity, implied nudity, or mature stuff.
i still watch it though

I hate everything that is popular around here in my area because in my school they just can't stop talking about this one thing (in this topic's case, South Park) and have to talk about it 24/7 and tell the same joke every week for a whole month untill they realize how booring the unfunny joke actually is.
It "grinds my gears".
In my eyes, shows like South Park are one of those that destroy the youth. The same with the music.
That's just my opinion, no need to spread it around.

I support this comment.

Disturbing images like people throwing up? So anything real life that happens would also be considered "disturbing?"

I'm sure there was more, but kids are not as young and innocent as they used to be... you'd be surprised. I don't think we should blame South Park and shows like it for that though; Thats like blaming car accidents on automakers, it's the parent's job, not the network.

I actually find some episodes of South Park to be entertaining aswell as thought provoking, the latest episode I saw involved Cartman becoming the morning announcer for the school and going off on the school president (Wendy) about how horrible things were in the school. This episode reminded me of Glenn Beck and how the episode progressed was entertaining while showing a not so different comparison to what Cartman was doing and what Glenn Beck has done.

I don't see what the big deal is really...

in 3rd grade it was all about MTV and beyonce.
4th grade it was all about burnout and wrestling.
in 2nd grade it was all about runescape
