Author Topic: Purchase decision.  (Read 1256 times)

So, I have about $150, about $10 from being able to buy a NOVINT Falcon packaged with the Orange Box (which is fully compatible with the Falcon) and a Pistol Grip. I'm using a code someone gave me to get it for $160 instead of $200. I can't decide whether I should blow all of my money on this awesome thing, or keep saving it. I just want some opinions to help me out, preferably actual reasons why or why not to buy the Falcon with the rest of my money.

If your really into gaming I guess go ahead and get it!  But something like that just doesn't seem worth it when you can use a mouse and keyboard.

You would be alot slower in fps games with that thing i think.

Yea it looks stupid to me, I'd much rather just use mouse and keyboard.

For SP it would rock.

Kinda neat. Would help with more accurate shooting.

I like it, may buy one.

that doesnt look like it would do good with FPS games

It looks like that'd thing make it harder to play games, with that whole "point it at the side of the screen to turn" bullstuff.

I feel sorry for anyone that wastes money on it

It would be great for rail shooter games

Actually, it's not that. It controls like a mouse.

However, it has very complex force feedback technology, it's more like an augmented reality tool.

Again, it's not a loving Wii. You still use your keyboard to move, it controls like a mouse.

Looks tiring.  Think my hand would get annoyed after a while
