Author Topic: Trey's Pirate Ship! (IMG Heavy)  (Read 7976 times)

Description

This is basically an old sailing vessel, similar to the pirate ships of the 1700-1800's. It has 6 cannons, 3 rowboats, bunks, an armory, the Captain's quarters, 3 masts, and under 2000 bricks.

     Brick Count: 1,978

I've also been thinking of building a second boat and having a Pirate vs. British TDM. Please give me your thoughts about the TDM.

Please rate X/10, constructive criticism is welcomed.

Each one of the beds has a spawn point on it for Minigames.

Secret Harbor (Not so secret anymore)

The secret harbor is basically a dock hidden inside the boat. It is located in the back half of the ship, next to the sleeping quarters. There is a button on the inside of the boat that opens the back hatch, allowing the boat to exit. The hatch will open from the outside if triggered by a boat. Now, enough with the words and on to the pictures!

A lovely view, from one of the three crow's nests

That's all the pictures I have! If you would like to see a close up or another angle of the ship, please ask.

It's ok, but you could add some more decorative details to it.  It seems empty to me.  And if you're not going to have the sails down, at least show them furled.

I'd say take the cannon off the bow, and paint the others gray or brown.

Other than that, I say 8.5/10! Very nicely done.

It's actually pretty good. :o
It could use some more interior detail, and some little bits here and there could be edited for a more decorative effect. Regardless, 8/10. Nice job.

I tried to do that, but it looked like crap.

And I did say that this has been sitting in my saves folder forever, I did it a while ago. It's some of my earlier work.

This ship's A light frigate there's gonna be 2 of those up there but there supposd to be on the side. The bigger bowmast on that ship shows it's A frigate.

I'm not actually trying to make it history authentic though... Oh well, thanks for the info.

Nice. I like it a lot. Do you plan on adding sails to it?

Don't like the pirate cannons and rowboats. But 7/10

Put bricks around the crows nest, so you won't fall off.

The boat looks very nice! But i dont like the emergency boats, they look as though they...just...stand out.

Maybe later, when I'm bored. I tried, but it looked like crap.

I have to keep it like that because an event shoots you up to the crows nest, a ring of bricks would block it. Plus, then there would be no space for the player without the crow's nest looking too bulky. The ship is about function more than form.

I know, I only put them on one side to keep the stand-outish-ness to a minimum.

You could use zone events to build a latter.

You could use zone events to build a latter.

Tried that too, ladder was too bulky and drew the eye away from the boat itself.

Edit to OP: I have completed the furled sails and added some nice pennants to the masts.

What, no more comments? Only 10 people?
