Is there a way to make something semi-transparent in constructor?

No.
The limits to the torque engine keep pissing me off more and more.

Let's change it oops we can't because some people have crappy computers that they shouldn't even run in the first place.

I believe the only way is to use a semi-transparent Torque Shape for what you are trying to attempt.
In other words, you need to make a .dts of what you wanted, then place it into the map.

It's a 10 year old game engine, you pretty much have to expect it to be extremely limited in terms of graphical features

Why doesn't it get updated?

Why don't we make the switch?

This is a limitation of the dif format not the torque game engine. Dts shapes inserted into the model work fine and I think I would prefer them to transparent interiors. You can animate them and you can attach scripts to them.

So I assume we'll make the switch when the average handicap can paint the Mona Lisa?
