Author Topic: Blockland & Linux  (Read 820 times)

I just installed Ubuntu on one of my desktops and I've been trying to get some of my old games over. I installed Blockland fine but when I try to run it through WINE it freezes at the first frame and renders itself useless.

I know that a lot of forum users have gotten it to work but I just can't figure it out.

The picture below is what happens when I start it. It freezes there with no mouse movement or any other thing that signals that it's working.

You cry your soul out to Badspot begging him for a Blockland Linux port.
Problem solved.

V14 screwed it up somehow, It used to work on the other versions, but maybe v15 will not freeze on startup.

I highly doubt that badspot has the time or resources to develop a game that will run on windows, mac and linux. the best thing that you can do would be to ask someone else who has gotten blockland to work with wine because I don't see a true linux port of blockland ever coming out.

Blockland used to work on Wine, but on the v14 update Blockland just freezes immediately on startup.

I found out that on some computers, you can still play V14 without add-ons.  :iceCream:
