Author Topic: Anyone here use ubuntu?  (Read 742 times)

So, I finally got my computer to dual boot ubuntu and windows 7. Sadly, when I open Blockland, it freezes the second the auto updater starts up. I'm using the most current version of Wine, and it's the right version for my version of ubuntu, so that's definitely not the problem. Does anyone here have any idea how to fix it?

I was unable to join a server under Ubuntu, and if I had a server up I was lucky if I could get past authenticating.

There's still a possibility that it works.

NiXiLL uses ubuntu, with no problem.

With problem, he and I both have issues when a connection with a server is disconnected from the server, the game crashes. When authenticating, the master server disconnects you when it's done, which will cause a crash.

I've never had any success with it, NiXiLL has, unfortunately.

Nix has told me Wine crashes upon one of Torque's TCPSockets disconnecting.
