Why hello there all of you.
About two months ago ION, now ARES, completed a ship. A ship described by spock as the loveiest completed ship he had ever seen.
I present to you, the Argos. Subtitles with asterisks are universal features on all ships.
History: The Argos was originally designed as a ship that could fill all the roles of a space fleet. However it evolved to become a powerful Anti-Air and Anti ship platform, making it a very formidable enemy. Armed with Five double barrel anti-ship cannons, the Argos is truly a match for anything thrown against it. With twelve Anti air turrets and flak dispenser launchers, an air assault against it would be fruitless. However there is a price to pay for such firepower; the guns overheat. Once they overheat, there is a waiting time of fifteen seconds before they may be fired again. Also armed with a variety of rockets and torcreepes, the Argos is a perfect orbital bombardment platform. The Argos also has one of the most efficient FTL (Faster Than Light) drives used by ARES, making it as quick as she is deadly. She also has a very effective Airlock system.

Variants:
The Burke:The Burke was an attempt to convert the Nova class into a more powerful weapons platform for the feared Maelstrom cannon. In order to do this the bow was completely rebuilt, with the Maelstrom cannon being built inside. However there was such a power drain one of the heavy turrets was removed, and additional communication antennae were added so it may also serve as a command ship.

The Flare:Not much is known about this variant. She was first modified by Makanix, who added turrets and several features. It was only recently discovered, and Makanix is no longer around to tell us about her abilities.
I have recently discovered that the unknown device appears to be heavily evented. It is a backup FTL drive. I have also discovered that the two turrets in front of the bridge fire an EMP round that neutralizes enemy aircraft. More information pending. The main turret fires a scaled-down version of the Burke main cannon.
