I'd put it where Qwepir put it, except lower. I was thinking about expanding the back to make it fatter, and adding more thrusters to take on the extra weight. Also may be extended a bit longer to accommodate the hanger and extra fuel tanks.

Fine, I already had another idea for a variant, the Orion-class. That could be a fighter carrier. Scratch that, should be a small warship. Three heavy cannons, six small ones, and four fighters.
