Even stranger, the idea of the Chevy Nova and it being assembled was in Argentina.
It seems it was made that way on purpose so Latin people would know not to buy American products. Very suspicious.

Well no va does mean it doesn't go in spanish, so I was wondering if it was also that in latin.

It dosen't prove it is false. Maybe they changed the name but it still was named Nova for a peroid of time.

Did you even read the article? It didn't say anything about the name being changed.

I think you missed the parts about the Mexican government naming a brand of gasoline Nova and the fact that the car actually sold fairly well in Argentina.

That's where they're introducing the myth. Read 1 paragraph down "It's wicked irony, then, that the people who use this example are engaging the very thing they are decrying, because a little preparation and research would have told them that it isn't true."

Did you just read until you saw that part or did you read the whole article?

I did read the entire article, but I payed attention to that point. Sorry then. It was still a funny myth.
