Author Topic: I disassembled a Laptop  (Read 3219 times)

Yes, I did. Inb4pixoritdidn'thappen.

I also have a bag with nuts (Ha ha), bolts, screws and keyboard keys.

I can identify most of those components and probably reassemble it.

Depends, did you touch the motherboard and did you open up the HD.

Neat. I've taken apart many laptops before, but mainly desktop PC's. One thing: if you want to disassemble something, and put it back together in working condition, NEVER set parts on the carpet. Always put it on a desk or something, at the least. Oh, also, you didn't remove the processor. It's still on the motherboard.

you put them on carpet lol

Disassemble? No disassemble!

It can't be reassembled. Yes, I touched the motherboard, but it probably didn't absorb any of the oils on my fingers. And, yes I opened the HD and the DD. I bent some metal and snapped some plastic.

One thing: if you want to disassemble something, and put it back together in working condition, NEVER set parts on the carpet. I'm not putting it back together anyways. Oh, also, you didn't remove the processor. It's still on the motherboard. I will try, but I don't want to snap the motherboard.

Oh yeah.

You just fried the motherboard. :C.

Looks like you tore it apart more than took it apart.

Only on the plastic, because one of the bolts got jammed.

Also, I only took it apart because it was already broken.

!!! I HAVE THAT SAME LAPTOP

Also, I only took it apart because it was already broken.
Did you diagnose exactly what was broken before you've potentially fried half the circuitry?

No, my Mom bought new one, and told me to take this one apart.

Why would you tear it apart!? You could've sold it.
