Author Topic: Bot Evented Real Time Strategy! | Classes and Upgrades!  (Read 3152 times)

This was inspired by the OTHER bot RTS...

Objective:
Like any other RTS, get gold and take over the other team, only thing is.  Story line mode isn't done yet, but will be!

How to play:
Player 1:
There are about 5 options in the menu (8 if you count the glowing ones).
Red: Respawn all units.
Red (glowing): Cease fire.
Yellow: Send miners to mine.
Yellow (glowing): Send miners to enemy base to explode!
Yellow (undulu): Makes the miners run around to explode!
Green: Send soldiers to attack enemy troops.
Green (glowing): Make the soldiers attack (regardless of walls.)
Blue: Send heavy to attack enemy troops.
Blue (glowing): Make the heavy attack (regardless of walls.)
Pink: Send scouts to attack enemy troops.
Pink (glowing): Make the scouts attack (regardless of walls.)
1,2, and 3: Buy upgrades.
1. For scout.
2.For soldier.
3.For heavy.

Player 2/AI:
Red: Respawn all units.
Red (glowing); Cease fire.
Yellow: Send scouts to attack enemy troops.
Yellow (glowing): Make the (P2) scouts attack the P1 troops: regardless of walls.

This is mid-beta.  Please tell me what you think, with a few rules I would like you to follow so I can improve.
-Don't use brute-force criticism, use correctional approach.
-My bad on misspelling probably in the video.

The event of pointing out the flaw and saying how to fix it.

Nice simple Events, but a clever idea. I may make one of my own soon. Also, did you get the idea from Block and White, my Bot War, or another RTS?

It would be better if there was some sort of Training of units, but i understand how hard that is.

I added 3 more features after that video.
1.Shop that works. (Upgrades.)
2.Miner Bomb, sends the miner to the enemy base to explode.
3.Miner last resort, makes the miner run around randomly and explode.

They do.
Just that I keep throwing to many troops at them they don't get a CHANCE to fight.

Nice idea, needs work though.

I am sorry for asking but do you mind if I try to make this in my RPG?  Or just a variant of this?

i never knew RPGs used RTSes...
