Looks photoshopped, I can tell by the pixls.

two more stuffty steampunk buildings yay

Those are pretty neat.

Steampunk tips: Make stuff run on steam. Houses and stuff like that don't need pipes/gears. Make "stripped" buildings so you can really get creative.

Tell us when you release the game

pipe is labeled: pipe

They look boring without them. The particular scene I am doing has the fancy houses and stuff elevated above more industrialistic structures where you can actually see the gears and things put into better use.

Meh. You don't have to do pipes and stuff to make Steam Punk look interesting.

Steam Punk is kind of a subset of Art Deco, so for "steam punk" architecture, just study Art Deco architecture and try to emulate that.

My focus is Edwardian and Victorian architecture and such things. When they are by themselves without any pipes or gears they just look like random Victorian buildings. I apologize if this annoys you but I kinda have to exaggerate it in order for my teacher to get what I am doing and not just pass it off as a period piece.

The concept thing for a steampunk minigun type thing. Shoots lightning or something, not entirely sure yet.
Could be much better, messed up on the geometry a bit there but ah wells.

btw, I renamed the topic to something a bit more fitting

If ya'll remember this, I finally made the 3D model version of it in Maya.

I have no intention on porting this over for Blockland, btw.
Also, after cleaning up the model, I managed to get the triangle down from where they are at 2100ish to 1900ish.

Looks good! I really like how creative you are with this stuff.

And now in 3d:

Meh.

Textures look like stuff cause they are all high-res and this thing isn't rendered at all so it is only roughly drawing them.

edit: added the bronze trimming, I almost forgot it.

Ladios, you're pretty good at modeling :o

I'm thinking about attempting to build one of those houses now in BL.

My midterm assignment for game art.
Was given 6 hours and a 1024 texture size limit.
I modeled and painted the texture myself :D
Twas fun
