Wait, did this class teach you how to draw and how to create character concept and and sheets for animation?!
We didn't have to do sheets like this, we just had to draw each frame of animation (or use vector graphics but I find those to be so boring looking). I just arrange them in sheet form in order to show off. :P
This class I am in right now is teaching us how to use photoshop to make assets for a flash game. Later it will go into other things such as making turnarounds for weapons or buildings. I don't know if we are doing textures in this class or if that will be next month.

That sounds really, really fun :O!
Where you go to school?
Is it partial to game design?

Los Angeles Film School. In the Game Production program. It's new, I will be in the second graduating group. The annoying thing is that each class is only a month long so its alot of work. I barely have time to even come on these forums any more and I get very little sleep. This month hasn't been as bad but last month, brown townog game theory, was ridiculous.

K, finished the boss... could be MUCH better but meh... I spent literally all day on it... there is no fixing this stuff...

Sorry for the large image btw.

Here is everything put together:

Like the last picture where it's all put together. I can agree sprite sheets can take a long time to put together.

I like the boss, but the main character could use some color.

That is creepy, but I like it.

On an unrelated note, the art class in my school has a great picture of Jesus but they put a Marti Gras mask on him.

It is loving hilarious.

My mid term end result... I am rather sure I failed this stuff...

One of the worst things I have ever made...

It's not that bad actually.

The shadow work is good. Everything else just doesn't really make sense.

The concept thing for a steampunk minigun type thing. Shoots lightning or something, not entirely sure yet.
Could be much better, messed up on the geometry a bit there but ah wells.

btw, I renamed the topic to something a bit more fitting

Did you ever put those character sprites into an engine of some sort (aka seen them animated).

I love you. (In a friendish way)

Needs steam streaming out the sides and a pressure gauge.

Nah I wont get to that until later. They look stuffty animated but thats cause there are only 3 frames of animation for each. I do not have time to make more :(

When I do this in maya I will be sure to add some smoke effects for the render. There are pressure gauges on the left side, you cant see them too well from the front view but its noticable.

In other news, heres some crappy steampunk clocktower thing.
