Mmmm...

That's a thought. I was originally looking into the k62 but once Newegg dropped the free shipping deal on it I abandoned it.

Eyefinity is bullstuff, imo. It's more of a "look what we can do" type thing than something practical.  I don't want to play a game through a window.  dual and triple screens are better for multiple apps, imo.

Actually dual monitor gaming is pretty fun. :p

Not with fps games, most likely.

I dunno. I have a 1600x1200 primary and a 1024x768 secondary, and something like the commander screen in BF2 on the smaller one would be cool.

Dual monitors loving suck for any game because you have the edge of them right in the middle of the screen. Use either three or one.

I've actually been having lots of fun gaming on my Eyefinity setup. It really isn't "playing through a window" any more than it is when you game on a single screen. The idea isn't to focus on the side monitors, but instead to use them as peripheral vision to enhance the immersion. It has gameplay benefits too, such as in L4D2 in which you can see threats that would normally be easy to miss.

Of course, I don't just use them for gaming. They are tremendously useful for completing assignments and doing research. Nothing better than being able to have 6 full page PDF documents open at a time.

Well, one exception to the two monitor gaming taboo you seem so expressive about, is the RTS, Supreme Commander. It allows you to hook up and use a second monitor in game for whatever you like. It doesn't even have to be the same resolution and doesn't require Eyefinity. You can use it purely as a giant minimap, or you can zoom in and play on it just like you do with the main screen.

Yeah, 3 is fine for things, but when it's something like 2, 4 or 6 where the middle of the screen is covered, it's really dumb.

Alright, no Corsair RAM for me.

I'm now going with the Patriot Sector 5

GOD DAMN IT.

This "Verified by Visa" bullstuff is really pissing me off. My dad is too lazy to get his Social Security number to verify my Visa. For some reason he refuses to use PayPal too.

I've never run into this problem before, it's very inconvenient.

Paypal is a safe method of shopping online. There is no reason not to use it, unless you sell stuff and prefer not to get hit with $3 in fees.

That's almost exactly what my arguement was.

I actually have his PayPal account as I use it for ebay and other internet based sources. He just won't let me use it for this.
