i didnt get anything

You don't care about getting a reasonable explanation, you care about getting an explanation of everything, right or not. That's why you're not seeing this on the same level as we are.
One could use those same Wikipedia URLs to attempt to 'prove' the reverse argument as well.

Are you trying to tell me a wizard creating the universe is logical and that omnipotence doesn't forget with physics?

"god did it" is not an explanation.
if you are a person of faith, then you have to do your own thorough studies into that as well.

there are far more religions that came before Christianity/Judaism. ones far less vague then yours.
you could believe the first religion your parents told you to i guess. but there is a science to religion as well your refusing.

No, I'm basing it off of arguments you people use against Religion. "If god exists, show us proof."
If the Big Bang happened, show me proof, not a couple of links to concepts that have been known to change every century because the process of our understanding keeps growing.

Show me proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that this actually happened, fossil records, video evidence, anything other than "Oh we just assume this is what happened because things seem to point to this but really it could mean anything."

I'm playing it on your level. A reasonable explanation isn't based on theory. Would you fly blindly into a black hole because theory says that it can take you to the future? Are you prone to believe the theory that the light barrier is unbreakable even thought we've proven we can break the sound barrier? Or will we keep trying simply because we will eventually find a way to do just that? Science as we know it is not 100% in any case on such a grand scale. I'm asking you from a scientific standpoint, not as a bible thumper. Where would we be if people did not question science and make us think and reevaluate what we know? Isn't that the very definition of scientific progress?

EDIT: So quit using religion as an argumentative crutch. It's a weak attack against something you don't care about to try and justify your own pitiful self worth. It's the same as saying "You're stupid because you're black."

I'm not telling you anything, I was simply pointing out the fact that someone of monotheistic faith could post those same links. In the religion people could claim that God created physics, and thus is not bound by them.

Another normal day woo

Enough with the religion whores.
D;
you're ruining Easter!
Then again, who made up The weird Easter traditions? Some guy on crack?
"OKaY, So there's this b-bunny, and he gives can-dy to little kids, bb-b-but he puts them in eggs and hides th-them in the grass, for Jesus."

Technically, neither side of the fence can justify themselves, and it all boils down to opinions.

to celebrate your faith any more one one day then another is actually quite blasphemous.
religious holidays are pretty sinful to the bigger picture of the religion. its falls under false idles.
traditions are what is dangerous to a religion. and that is what a holiday is.

if jesus is real, easter pisses him off, as it cheapens him. (even the real easter, not the bunny stuff)

Rughugger you should just stfu and stop talking about religion altogether. You start these fights with people and for what? You obviously aren't trying to convince them God actually exists as your only defense is "Show me a video dated when the big bang theory happened showing it and maybe I will believe it!" Based on the fact that no one knows for 100% sure the big bang theory happened, you assume it proves 100% that a wizard god did it. If you really wanted to convince people to join your religion you'd offer a better defense than that. Instead you lure these guys along as they throw logical and well-studied theories and keep saying "LULZ THERE ISNT 100% PROOF trollface.png!!!!" I mean really, just stfu.

well a person's beliefs can define them quite strongly. the personality they have, and the way they live their life.

if your a person of science;
you see more options in day to day life. you tend to learn things more as you see the value in education better. and you find more gratification from personal effort.

if your a person of religion;
you live day to day with your fingers crossed. your superstitious and you wait for things to happen instead of trying things yourself. you believe how you feel and think will earn you things and not the effort you make.

there are plenty of exceptions to this, but its still pretty accurate.
one of the reasons i wouldn't date a girl who is religious. it wouldn't even work.

We don't know much about the big bang, but we know it happened as much as we know the Crusades happened.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang#Observational_evidence

It happened.

science = "the practical use of data"

how you define practical is up to you. but if humanity just gave up on trying to learn things (the religious route), we wouldn't improve at all.

the world isn't going to get better by kneeling and wishing to the sky. its only going to get closer to perfection by learning more and more and more.
humanity is still extremely young, we got plenty of time.

And when people say that "neither side can justify themselves" what they're really saying is that "I hold firm in my beliefs without evidence and I deny the validity of the opposing view therefore everything is an opinion."
