Author Topic: Just saw Avatar  (Read 2082 times)

First of all it was a great movie from my point of view. Purple trees, glowing grass, and the sky dragon things were great, I would have one over any helicopter dropship there any day.
I was shocked to see the giant tree die, and was pissed off at the arrogant Human decisions.
When it comes to money no one cares, I just wanted to kill the Humans on that planet.
It was a beautiful film, makes me want to watch it again if I can only erase my memory. Over all, the film was full of powerful and emotional moments.

It was ffffing awesome. I won many awards, and it is now my favorite movie. It's like Pocahontas on steroids. Plot is good, visuals are good, action is fitting (unlike some parts or Transformers 2), and just generally a good movie. It is now my favorite.

Well, at least one movie which shows humans in bad light not as heroes.

James Cameron is loving awesome.

“Anybody that is a global-warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their ass I’m not sure they could hear me.”

Any movie able to make you vouch against your own species deserves some credit.

Avatar was Pocahontas with big, blue cat people.

What was the big deal, it was just another movie, and it triggered this 3D bullstuff rave.

Lately, every movie that comes out here, is in loving 3D.
I bet it won't add that much to some.

But Avatar was a great movie, yes. :3

If you lived in the 80s you'd understand that this isn't the first time this trend has been tried. 3-D movies are the next step to holodecks, fully interactive cinema features and games. Just get used to it, they're already making Televisions that support this feature as well.

3D stuff is far less gimicky than motion controls, in my opinion. Motion controls suck for games, but 3D just enhances visual experiences.

I think people prefer the interface to the game to be as abstract (as in buttons / sticks) as possible.

And its gonna cost you about 3000$ just to get everything to watch it. I also heard they are possibly making 3D television channels.

Avatar was scenery research for me and that's it.
