I don't believe in god because the bible is really loving stupid. K?

Most of the people who are christian think they are OK and will go to 'heaven', but in all reality if you even read the bible properly, 95% of those people will still go to hell, according to the bible.

Also, I found out something terrible today; they still teach creationism in the Galapagos Islands :(
Ignorance at its finest. Did you even read the New Testament, or did you get to Psalms and say "this is boring, I quit".

forget off asswhole. A belief is a belief. Everyone questions god at some point. If he choses not to believe, that's his choice.
Irony.
Also no hell.

why do you have to tell anyone? if it comes up let them know your beliefs. if not then forget them.

you dont have to defend yourself to anyone.

There is little to gain from exposing yourself. Society isn't ready for that level of tolerance just yet.

We don't adjust. Somebody forces it on us.

Do it.

lol @ people telling atheists they will go to hell.
You know skip is the devils middle name.

Hahahaha

You assume I care.

Whatever you do, don't be a douchebag about it. A lot of time time, half the reason I get so mad at Atheists (dkamm/inv3rted are two that come to mind) is because they're such jerks about it. It's hard for me to make peace with them, but I think my standpoint is "That is what you believe, this is what I believe and I'd appreciate if you respected my views and I will extend the same courtesy onto you". A lot of the time, the majority of Atheists just feel like bashing members of any organized religion and therefore, it's hard for me to respect their beliefs and them as a person, but I try.

So what I'm trying to say is, sit down and have a respectful, calm conversation with your parents about it and ask that they respect your decision. If you have any doubts though, voice those too. I think it's good when dealing with something like this to be 100% up front and honest with someone about this huge decision you are making.
I don't tell my parents, I don't want to make them sad of me or make them feel they raised me wrong. I try to respect peoples religion, but I can't stand it.  I can't stand people praying or sticking there head underwater for God.  The way people abuse religion is awful too, all it does it cause wars.  The crusades are a good example, they were fighting over a holy land (correct me if im wrong.) I don't think there is a god, but I think there is something that created us out there.

It's not about defending yourself, it's about giving the people you love information. If I suddenly decided to be gay, do you think it would be fair to my parents to continue trying to deceive them into thinking I'm straight, or should I tell them about the decision I've made?

You assume I care.
Yes, you should care now that you control the under world.

Then that's a problem that you have with religion, not with God. Even Jesus hated the religious officials of his time.

But Skip isn't at all related to my real name.

Somebody forces it on us.
Parents >:(

They were fighting for spices and Europe's excuse was kill jews, arabs,  and reclaim the "Holy Land".

"OK, do you guys want to run or skip?"
"YOU WORSHIP SATAN!"
"What?"
"GET AWAY FROM US SATAN WORSHIPPING HERETIC"
"*Sigh* do we need to go through this stuff everyday?"

yes it is about defending himself. why else is he so scared to tell anyone?
