No, he said an entirely false statement and I'm calling him out on it.
oh
i read it wrong

Atheism IS the absence of religion. Atheism simply means "I do not believe in God" not "I believe there is no God". There's a huge difference and if you can't tell it you're lacking in basic logic skills.
By becoming an Atheist you obviously lose religion on the way, but the dictionary definition of atheism is the lack of a belief in any deity, period. It's like taking the road off the top of bridge supports; the bridge supports serve no purpose once the road is gone.

Well, here's a question: where did God come from?

He created himself

Well, here's a question: where did God come from?
God was always there and always will be.

Yes, exactly. It's the LACK OF BELIEF in a deity, not THE BELIEF THAT NO DEITIES EXIST.

Lack of belief is just not assuming deities exist, whereas believing no deities exist is an assertion. I cannot assert that unicorns do not exist but I can say I do not assume that they do.

God was always there and always will be.

then why did god wait till resent to create the world and humanity, when forever before he was fine without.
then after forever of nothing, he decided one day he wanted to overlook the souls he created for the stufffest fun of testing them all.

yeah.... it makes less sense the more i think about it.

So do you assert that deities do not exist, or do you not believe in deities?

Other worlds out there.

not that you would know there is.
but then the same question goes to those worlds.

and god yet again remains answer-less

I'm fine with people believeing their own deitie(s).
I'm NOT fine when people try to shove it down my goddamn throat and force me to believe it
*cough*Priests*cough*

Goes both ways, dude.

Other worlds out there.
If you can find the reference to these other planets in the Bible I'd like to see them.

So do you assert that deities do not exist, or do you not believe in deities?

I am an atheist.

I defined atheist.

Guess.

You can't 'believe in' atheism...
