Author Topic: High Definition T.V.  (Read 3140 times)

My family does not have one yet. I am going to try to convince my parents to get one, but it would help if I knew some of the good deals out there.

It would help if you had an HD T.V., and post the details about it such as brand, price, size, type (Plasma, LCD), and how good you think it is.

I have one :3
What info do you have on it? Do you like it?

LED > LCD > Plasma

LED is the best out there. It utilizes Light Emitting Diodes to create an astounding picture.
  • High refresh rate (usually 120 Hz) which smooths out picture.
  • VERY, very energy efficient.
  • VERY slim at 1.5 inches.
  • Incredible color quality.

LCD is the second best in my personal opinion. It's a Liquid Crystal Display much like laptops or monitors today use.
  • Average TV.
  • Good color quality.

Plasma in my opinion is least preferred, for me though. It uses plasma cells to generate the picture.
  • Can suffer from burn in (showing the same picture for a prolonged time will cause it to remain on the screen for a while and over years can be permanent).
  • Great color quality.

I have an LED TV and let me tell you it is WORTH the $2000 to watch 1080p Blu-Ray Movies.

Thanks for that, but how wide is it?

And to everyone, stop saying that you have one, give me details, ratings, brands, etc.

Samsung...Something between 55 and 60 inches.

It's lovely. Has like 3 HDMI ports, composite, USB, VGA, and even an ethernet port to get software updates for some reason!

Plazma.
I want my TV to be powered by this kind of plasma.

I have an older 52 inch Sony Bravia lcd tv, it's was hella expensive at the time.

I only have one. I think it is a 32 inch or a 34 inch. It's an LCD.
