okay first of all, I was literally laughing at loud at some of the stupidity you've presented here.
The first thing I'm going to bring up is your never-present-evidence argument: I did present evidence of horrendous crimes against human rights; you presented no evidence in your post anywhere. I'm going to count the times I have to ask you for evidence and every time I do I will attempt to provide evidence.
I'm going to organize the rest of my arguments by non-quoted paragraph.
1: Circular logic. Provide examples
1. Here's mine, about how the bible is the ultimate truth:
The Bible is the word of God? Why?
Because the Bible tells me so. But why do you believe the Bible?
The Bible is infallible. But how do you know?
Because the Bible is true. So why is the Bible true?
The Bible is the word of God? Why?
...and so on.
2: Basing views solely on evidence. The earth HAS changed over time. Google "Pangaea". There is overwhelming evidence in favor of this theory (plate tectonics) including the fact that the location and bounaries of all of the plates are known and the fact that they are moving can be proven by earthquakes. I would also like to remind you of the peppered moth's evolution towards darker-colored individuals, which is irrefutable evidence in favor of natural selection, a major component of evolution.
3: Evidence not speaking for itself. I don't know what you're trying to say here, but if you think the evidence I'm providing is faulty, I can cite further sources more reputable than Wikipedia.
4: Why don't people evolve immunity to torture? I'm not going to bother explaining this because this is something you'll learn in high school biology and as such would take far too long to explain here. Evolution does not apply to individual organisms.
5: God is not your personal servant / Christians are safe from torture. A: I am aware of the various teachings that God cannot be controlled and such. However, this is a mechanic obviously meant to make disproving God more difficult.
This video is a wonderful explanation of this concept. B: As Christianity was the overwhelming majority of religions during the times when most of those incidents were going on, I can guarantee that those events happened to Christians. If you read the slow slicing page, it mentions that execution by slow slicing was performed upon French missionaries attempting to convert the Chinese to Christianity. I'd be willing to bet those missionaries were Christians.
6/7: A just and loving god. These entire paragraphs are, of course, moot, considering the substantial evidence that humans did in fact evolve from primates.
And if they didn't, I'm wondering where these came from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neanderthal8-12: Russel's Teapot = Evolution. Actually that'd be how the theory of your god started. The theory of evolution started with the discovery of genetics, pioneered by the monk Gregor Mendel. You'll learn all this in high school biology as well. Also, please cite that source
2 giving substantial evidence in favor of creationism, I'd love to see it.
This is the quote about the teapot:
"If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is an intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time."13: Bias accusation. Completely valid point.
14: Bible. You are a fool if that's all you have to say about it.
15/16: Oort Cloud. Google it, read about it, ask your teachers about it.
17: Again, you clearly have no clue when it comes to biology. DNA carries the alleles that dictate the creation of proteins in ribosomes which in turn dictate the appearance of an organism. I'm bringing up the peppered moth again. The gene for a light-colored moth is dominant over the dark-colored gene. It was also more common due to it being the same rough color is lichen on trees. Light-colored moths were seen less easily spotted by predators, and, as such, they were more successful. However, the industrial revolution brought pollution with it. The pollution killed off the lichens, leaving dark colored tree trunks. The dark-colored gene allowed dark moths to blend into the also dark colored tree trunks, turning the tables in the dark-colored moths' advantage. Thus, they became more successful and common. This is simple biology.
18: The EARTH is several billion years old. Dating of
many different radioactive materials (the most commonly known being carbon-14).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_Earth19: The website is named "answers in genesis". I can't believe you would actually attempt to pass that off as "reliable" or "unbiased".
20: "I do basically understand Biology. It has logic to it, so Evolution cannot be true." - What the forget. You clearly do not understand biology. This quote makes no sense.
By the way, evolution doesn't even disprove Christianity. You're probably confusing it with
Abiogenesis, the theory that life arose from nonliving material.
I think that I do. There is even a video out there called Animals that Defy Evolution that shows all sorts of animals that couldn't possibly have evolved, the mechanisms that they have in place are necessary for their survival on a daily basis. Yet you claim they evolved. Why couldn't humans during that time just tell their "Evolution instinct" that they need to evolve to survive?
You are again proving your lack of understanding about evolution. Evolution is not an instinct and rather is an occurence that happens for the most part at random in modern humans. You did not post this video you mentioned
3. I would be glad to explain why it does not disprove evolution if you could actually point me in its direction.
