Author Topic: Processes  (Read 743 times)

Well, my computer has way too many processes running. It has about 72 processes.  My laptop is a compaq so it has all sorts of HP stuff. I don't know what processes to cancel. I canceled a lot of the updater stuff. and is ending a process deleting it because some come back if the computer is restarted. can i end all of the HP processes. and are there any good sites for this that are trustworthy and don't give you viruses. This has been slowing down my computer  and making Blockland and others things slower.

Shut down processes then.

ALL OF THEM

Yea, HP apparently likes to chew up your processing power with all of their processes. I had the exact same thing happen to me when I got an HP printer. You can end them, and pretty much everything else that is not started by Windows. Too bad they come back after you restart.

Get CCleaner and disable them from starting when you boot your computer :o

Why are all of your questions ending in a period.

Run "msconfig.exe" and uncheck all of the things under startup you don't want.
