Author Topic: Amade: It's your fault that your stuff gets stolen  (Read 28228 times)

You were credited both in the script and description, I'm not sure why you'd be so angry

P.S. if you're going to make a mod that people really want, expect them to get it, one way or another

I was told the mod was private but not that it was unfinished. I didn't steal anything, I was simply providing the public with a script to a private model that can be downloaded from any server running the mod. If you wanted that thing to stay completely out of everywhere, you should've kept it completely to yourself until release. If you actually do release the gun, I will gladly remove the file from my mediafire account. Until then it stays.

EDIT: If you want to continue this discussion, make a drama thread

He should've kept my machine gun add-on in his own server, instead he blatantly released it over the internet. This loving proves that he is a complete idiot and doesn't know what he's doing.

Look what happend now, the add-on is now used by alot of users. It is now ruined and has little hopes to be ever completed. Your stupid script made it more unbalanced, great genius motherforgeter.

Thanks Amade, you just made it worse.

You loving script kiddie.

/rant

Plus, he kept his stand NOT to remove it in his mediafire account.

What does he loving want? Maybe he just want to loving destroy the development.

Clusterforget script kiddie.

Only the model is yours. I scripted the entire thing, just using your model.
And no.

Usually when you work with those types of people, they're going to screw you over somehow. I think it's in your best interests to spot these kinds of people and avoid them in future, even if they pretend they know how to script competently.

This is bound to happen with private add-ons, especially with a community that is full of juvenile kids who will make sure they get what they want by climbing over everyone else.

Well, i've done some script sharing when the clan SHEEP was still active, but i've never seen things like this happen.
Seriously "Providing the public" without permission?
That's the most blatand excuse i've ever heard for theft "lol liek fancy words make it sounds like i'm not stealing!!!!"

Actually you seem to have interpreted it wrong. He stole the .dts file from in-side his add-ons folder, after playing on a server with the beta version or something. Then used the model for his own script. At least I think.

Oop. Misleading OP. In that case I retract my statement and replace it with a new one.

The thing is, he has a choice whether he can release it publicly or keep it to himself.

If you just could copyright your stuff.. but that would lead to another problem sooner or later.

Copyrights are useless in this situation and if anything I'd be more inclined to steal someone's stuff just to demonstrate how they can do nothing to stop me.

You have to accept that people are jerks, and if jerk Amade hadn't done it then some other jerk would have. That's why private add-ons don't work well unless hosted privately too.

You loving script kiddie.
Let's have a definition review:
In hacker culture, a script kiddie, or skiddie, occasionally script bunny, skid, script kitty, script-running juvenile (SRJ), or similar, is a derogatory term used to describe those who use scripts or programs developed by others to attack computer systems and networks.
Amade did a simple file move. That's not really hard to do.

oh you can argu semantics over what a script kiddy really is but i think he really just meant something more along the lines of internet douche who can code

Well thanks. That's a hard lesson for me now...

Don't be word-national socialist. I used the word script kiddie to show what level of respect I had lost for Amade.

He needs to learn how to set private passwords on files.

I believe by buying Blockland you agreed that everything you made for Blockland is copyrighted property of Badspot. He doesn't really want your crap though this is just for legal purposes, such as suing for profits and what-not saying Blockland has some of your property in it.
