Author Topic: Help ollie-ing or whatever.  (Read 2501 times)

Well, I got a skateboard 2 days ago, and I Can ollie like a half an inch (I fail at it so far, only got half an hour of practice in) Any tips on going higher, and ollie-ing better?

I had a skateboard for 6 years.
Found it a few months ago, learned how to ride it, then never learned how to ollie properly.

Don't skate with a helmet, so if you fall on your head, you won't be able to post on these forums for a long time.

Yeah, because we all should try to do 5 frontflips while doing a 720 off of a 20-story building.

Especially people who have only been boarding for under a week! What a great idea! I think I'll go try that!

So what you're aiming to do for an ollie is press the foot that's on the back of your board down while lifting the other foot. As the board rises, you jump from the board. To control the board's tilting, allow your foot to slightly press it down, but don't push down with your foot. Then you will land.

But who cares, I hate skating  :cookieMonster:

That's exactly what I've been trying but I can't get the timing right.
Do I wait for the tail of the board to hit the ground before I press back down onto the front to tilt itt back?

I meant to look at videos on how to ollie.

I know. It's hard to explain, but what I meant to say is keep your foot just above the board and the board won't go past your foot.
