I have decided to get the Alienware m17x with maxed out settings and the best of the best customized settings they could offer and it came out at about 4,600 dollars. Do you know of anything the same qaulity for less?

um

Even if there is no competitor with the same specs, that's overpriced.

Yea, which is why I really wanted an opinion on this. I need to know. Because this will be my computer for like... a while.

How about you get something that is technically lesser but works just as good for your means?

Don't get it. Alienware sold out to Dell.

Also, laptops are expensive. If not needed, you'd be way better to get a desktop.

I've really been needing a laptop so I looking for a laptop. I want a laptop that can run games greatly almost identically to a desktop could. I'd like to go well over the blocklad brick limit, play L4D:2 and CoD:6 with high FPS, like 50+. The m17x clocked L4D:2 with highest settings at like 63 FPS. My price range ranges.

The concept of a gaming laptop makes no sense to me

Let me clear it up for you. Play games on your couch instead of your computer's desk.

For double the price?
I see no benefits of a laptop you cant fit an actual graphics card in there and if you did it would overheat

For double the price
And half the durability plus modification ability.

I suggest either getting an Alienware desktop or a more regular-not as overpriced laptop.

I'm looking for a laptop for mobile purposes. My dad bought a card you can just plug it into the computer anywhere as you have Internet. I'm on the road a lot. Plus I could really use it at school.

So buy a decent laptop for like a grand and get a super sweet desktop with the other 3 thousand dollars
