A good desktop or laptop?

It seems pretty good, the one I'm might get is the cheapest model at 1,200$.

If you can link a better one that's under or near 1,200$, that would be nice. I do not want to buy parts from newegg, considering working on laptops is difficult, and I can't build computers, though I can maybe swap out some parts like graphics cards and stuff like that. I may consider a desktop though.
I intend to use it for games like Sim city 4, Gmod, Half life 2, other valve games, etc. aka not very visual games, but I hope this will run these games efficiently.

I'm might also run some more heavy graphics and physics games like Fallout 3, Spore, Gmod, etc. and that I hope it also runs these well also with the pre-set specs.

Spore isn't at all graphics intensive.
My desktop runs it like a steak knife through half melted butter, it doesn't take much because even at highest some aspects look really awful graphically.
It definitely is CPU intensive though.

Some people need a gaming laptop for mobility, either they will also use it partially for 'school' wink wink or their parents are divorced and live between them every weekend or something.

Exacty. Everytime I say I need a laptop for gaming they go "huurrr Deksotp betar for gamin no poitn ni laptpo" and I say because my parents are divorced.

I still cannot find the right one though.

Don't get a laptop. Trust me. I got a laptop, and I regret it. They can't run games as well as desktops, they aren't upgradable. They are just somewhat portable. It was the biggest mistake I ever made. Take my advice, don't get one.
