Author Topic: Zero Gravity Trench CTF  (Read 2029 times)

Your basic Trench CTF. But on a space map so there's zero gravity (or at least the illusion of zero gravity).

The map would be a large cube with an alcove on each of the 6 sides. 2 opposite from one another would be bases and the rest would be good staging areas. The walls would all be covered with 32 thick diggable bricks.

I thought this would be interesting as it would change how players act. Instead of making standard walls and towers (which are now useless) what would they make? It's like a terrarium! Change the conditions a bit and see how the ants react...
Anyways, thoughts? Good, bad? I'm considering hosting this as a server.

Flying butts and MtnDew bottles.

It would be fun to make floating base, but it would be more fun destroying the other team's.

Usually destruction isn't allowed in trench games...

Seems fun. I'd play it, if i had the full version. >.> I should be getting it soon...

I would play it. Are you referring  to the map that has a big water spot, with the same density of a player?

Any trench mod that does not allow you to destroy the other team's base is stuffty. The best tactic to winning is to destroy that 10 foot wall they have guarding their flag. If you can't destroy it, how do you reach their flag.

How do they capture their opponents' flag if they've walled their flag capture?

Usually the spawn is right below the capture, so you need to make it possible to access.

As for general walls, usually improv steps are allowed, placing 2 or 3 bricks in the right places will get you over most walls and is rarely against rules.
