I have seen too many honda CR-Vs.

I saw at least three at a wal-mart parking lot.

It's not a fad, they're lovey cars. My mom has a 2005 model, it runs great, is very comfortable, and has okay mileage. The new ones have better mileage, like the ones you posted pictures of.

My Mom had one of these back when we lived in the USA.  I believe it was a 2004 model, but it was a pretty great car nonetheless.  I don't think it's a "fad," people just realize that it's a pretty good car.
