But, most people dont realize that the other person is moving to. It is a good CQB tactic to "run-and-gun", if you run around, stop, fire in 2-3 bursts, then run away.
But you are correct. Most people dont think when then shoot. Especially if you have a LMG.
For close quarter it's okay, sure. But! Now a little story: Once on Digitals Gov vs Rebels, the rebels had their base in the main city. I was hiding behind the aquarium (for the ones who don't know, it's at a cliff) and tried to snipe enemies from there. Unfortunately they spotted me. I only had a suppressed M700 and a SMG with me, and facing 2 enemies with that seemed just ridiculous to me in that moment. So I jumped off the cliff into the water. I think Digital appeard then somehow and got one guys attention. But the other one chased me, he was carrying a SMG and I tried to swim away from him. He followed me and fired away 3 magazines. I think only one or two bullets hit me. Then he gave up and returned.
Instead of stopping and aiming at me, he kept chasing and firing at me. Firing unaimed (it's just a guess that he didn't aim) while moving reduces a SMG's effective range to some meters. But if you aim and fire single rounds, the effective range is very high. Since I was always jumping out of the water, he would have maybe wasted one magazine, but I wouldn't have survived.
It's nice to have a little discussion again^^
