A request is something that's like the NVG goggles, but there are 3 scope-things.
If you rclick while you have it on - I forgot to mention, it acts like the NVGs, but back on subject, it will rotate (CW or CCW) to reveal small, medium and large flat circular face groups that are the null color so you can see through interiors and stuff.

tl;dr, it's a null-vision adjustable goggle thing. :D
