The upward recoil works partly. The problem is, the client needs the script, and it has to be executed in order to work. Any ideas?

Have the server require a Client sided script. Make it reject the people from the server without them downloading the Client from either this topic or RTB (i would suggest RTB).

IDEA:
as you get hit with bullets, you slow down just a bit. Not to do with damage, but more like when bullets hit you.
Moon supports it.
