You should go and see a doctor. Either you have hallucinations or there's something wrong with your eyes. Everyone knows there are no green and blue spheres, only red and yellow spheres. Except there's something wrong with the universe barrier again and some weird things come trough from other universes, what I doubt. And the white nothings, dots or flashes occur when the amout of natural magic tops a certain value which depends on weather, time of the day, season and altitude. These white (sometimes blue) flashes are just harmless discharges. But usually the amout of natural magic is always at a constant value. Except someone casts very powerful spells, or is practising dark magic.

Objects can absorb and save magic. With such objects everyone can cast spells if done right and if the magic inside the object is strong enough for the spell. Basically like a battery, just with magic.
