i think riot gear should be made. with a riot shield that absorbs oh so much damage before being useless. also, can the mgl fire teargas grenades? i forget.
Yesh. I don't like bodies whooshing away. Maybe a pref that can set the amount of bodies that can be on the map at once? And once you exceed that limit, the older once poof away?
If the shield was to be made, should it be round or square? I would prefer a round one seeing as it wouldn't be 'overpowered' as such.
I'm pretty sure riot shields aren't very effective unless in riots, and I doubt they can withstand bullets. Being hit by a 5.56 round is a lot like being hit by a Formula 1 at top speed, crushed into a tiny bullet.
Maybe it wouldn't be a riot shield as such but I'm sure the British Police used some special rubber shield type thing when there was a crazed murderer with a shotgun running around. I think we ended up tazing him in the head.
In America we shoot criminals until they die. Is that bad?
That could handle bullets for a while.I don't see why they didn't include this in MW2.It would be a pretty cool upgrade.
When I'm tired I seem to think more. I was wondering, would you consider adding another helmet?I was looking through the topic and I think Munkey suggested a riot helmet. I quite like the Idea of that. Maybe it could protect a bit better from headshots from the knife and say 25% of breaking on headshots? But it should have a bad point, maybe limited view or something?-snip-Also, would it be possible to make the player slower when aiming in sights? Or would it mean adding more datablocks? :|And last but not least, do you remember testing out the defibrillator when we had the endless amounts of bodies everywhere? I think it would be quite cool if there was maybe a RTB pref that allowed the bodies to stay there instead of magically whooshing away? I shouldn't really be suggesting stuff when you're not feeling 100%. Sorry D:
Most riot shields are supposed to protect from low calibre pistols and shotguns firing birdshot. They aren't as good as they are in CoD despite what all those little idiots think.
THe riot shields have ratings from Threat Level Type IIIA protection which can stop most handguns (9mm and .45) however some manufacturers' shields cover IIIA, III (Rifles) and IV, which stops armor-piercing rifle rounds.
So we don't end up with +2000 bodies, yeah.
