Yellow stone national park, where steam flourishes.

Yellow stone national park, where a possible gigantic explosion that could happen soon could render cars useless! D:>

Yellowstone is a valley, a crater volcano. Its so big that it will destroy part of state Wyoming. Then the ash cloud will cover the whole entire planet causing a planetary blackout and a volcanic winter that will last a very long time.

Last time it erupted millions of years ago it left 6ft of ash as far as the Caribbean.

This is all the lava underneath its tiny crust.

Hah! The Yellow Stone will not be deterred by something as insignificant as the void of space! Fools! Ye all shall perish (unless you go in some bunker or something)!

Steam powered ray shield with stop the oncoming blow.

Then we shall wait for a new world to form and create monkeys out of nowhere, and then we shall settle it and show the evolving inhabitants gardening tools.

Then..

Eh, I'm pretty sure trying to encompass and cover a caldera of that size would prove to be unsuccessful since we couldn't cover a space that big with a large dome, nor would something like that be structurally stable in the event of a volcanic explosion, so even if we did enclose Yellowstone, the brimstone and ash would still make its way into the atmosphere.

Well, the human race has it's doom confirmed for the future.
