Author Topic: Script Colors  (Read 410 times)

I dont know much about scripting in general, but i have this code:

Code: [Select]
datablock ParticleData(HaloSniperbulletTrailParticle)
{
dragCoefficient      = 9;
gravityCoefficient   = -0.0;
inheritedVelFactor   = 0.0;
constantAcceleration = 0.0;
lifetimeMS           = 625;
lifetimeVarianceMS   = 55;
textureName          = "./bulletTrailEmitter";
spinSpeed = 10.0;
spinRandomMin = -500.0;
spinRandomMax = 500.0;
colors[0]     = "0.3 2.3 0.5 0.4";
colors[1]     = "0.5 2.5 0.5 0.0";
sizes[0]      = 0.15;
sizes[1]      = 0.25;

useInvAlpha = false;
};

i want my halo sniper to have a nice long WHITE trail, but I dont know the numbers I need for the color white (colors represented by colors[1] and colors[2]).

Pretty sure it's "0 0 0 (transparency amount)" or something. Not sure though.

Colors are represented in RGBA, or red, blue, green and alpha (Alpha is transparency). To get their numbers, go into paint or something, then go to custom colors, find the color you want and divide the RGB columns each by 255. For white its easy, on colors[0] change the numbers in the ""s to: "1 1 1 0.4" and for colors[1] change to "1 1 1 0".

EDIT:

Its "1 1 1 (trans)" white is a mixture of all the colors, black is the absence of color.
