Author Topic: Internet Crash Randomly  (Read 2137 times)

Each time when a .lnk program that connects to the internet (Ex. Blockland) the Internet crashes a few minutes later. I check my router and it says im still connected to the internet. I usualy have to fix this problem by restarting my Computer.
Heres some details that could help why this is happening:

•Using a Laptop Computer [Gateway]
•Using a 2Wire router. (Has no switching ports)
•Crashing happens most when Blockland.lnk is running
•When Internet crashing only my laptop has no connection. My other computer and Nintendo DSi have connection
•About in 1 hr. Internet works again without restarting.

How old is the gateway?

The gateway that my dad used to use is at least seventeen.

Blockland isn't an executable, silly. Also, it's not a virus.

Disregard crossed out part, I was thinking of something else.

This sounds more like your running too many things at a time.

And blockland isn't a .exe

1. Blockland is a executable. Oh silly me its a shortcut.
2. Did I ever say it was a virus? NO

One program is up. Mostly Blockland. There is never a stuff load of crap on my computer running at the same time.

I have a strange problem like this, but my computer thinks everything is a .exe so I have to relocate it and run it from there. It's god damn annoying. (Not a virus, I don't download crap like that.)

Its what makes the computer run.
I run Blockland first thing.

Hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and run Task Manager. Check processes. Post screenshot.
