I am Tired of constantly Seeing "Yea! Blockland is supported by Xfire!" Topics. We all know. Well this is a different Kind of topic. If you wanna keep posting this kind of stuff, please post all of that in here.

Things That have not been, or already have been covered in past Topics

IF you do not know what Xfire is... : www.xfire.com

Xfire is a Program that is More than an Instant Messanger and Media Producer. Xfire can be used to use Voice chat, and Text chat while you are In a Game. You can talk to somebody from Blockland, to CoD4, As long as you both have Xfire, and have each other's names on your friends list.

You can Take Video of What you are doing Within any Game you are playing, and YES you can set the framerate and quality. Along with Recording your Videos, you can Broadcast A Live video on the Xfire website for all your freinds to watch. You can choose to have ingame sound, an duse a microphone to narrate your Broadcast.

You can Take Pictures with Xfire, and share them with friends, or other users on the Xfire website.

You can View The Internet with a Webbrowser INGAME (Useful to get on the forums for blockland) and can play music with an Xfire music player. You must have a Supported Xfire music player on before this will be able to work though. (Example: Windows Media Player)

You can also create, or Join a Community on the Xfire Website. Keep in contact with other members, show off whatever your group may deal with, or anything else. It's Fully Customizable

Share Files Between one and other, Via the Xfire downloads manager. You can also view your friends recent Activity, and join the same game and server taht you see them playing in.

For clans (communities) xfire is really handy. When you join a clan in xfire (after you got accepted) you get all the members in a separate list (so you don't have to add all the people from your clan).

You can also manage your members (roster) as admin and put them in groups (give them rights). You have your own clan site with news, a calender (for events, trains), a forum, server favorites, info about your clan, your clan screens & vids, your clan logo, ...
You can add clan games so it counts the hours of all members playing the games. And you can find other clans /players playing the same game, too.

You can use the messenger during playing, so you could start a chat room just with your mates.

When you upload new screens, add a new friend, etc. your friends see that (like in facebook) on xfire.com.

If you do not like Xfire, don't post. Its a waste of your life, and nobody cares.

I've noticed some people have problems STILL with getting blockland to recognize. Here are some of the Solutions:

Solution 1:
1) Go into Xfire's Tools/Options...
2) Go to the Games Tab
3) Let it Detect Games
4) IF BLOCKLAND IS NOT under the Installed Games, Continue with these Steps
5) Go under the "Not Installed" drop down
6) Look for blockland in this list
7) Highlight Blockland in this list, and then on the right side of the Options window, Brows for your Blockland.exe (for most people: C:\Blockland\Blockland.exe)
8) Click ok, Then reboot Xfire.
9) Go back into Tools/Options...
10) Go under the games tab, and see if Blockland is in your "Installed Games"

If you still do not see it in your installed games tab, Try this Process again.

If you still are unable to get it to work, Try This Solution

1) Go into "My Computer"
2) Go into your main Hardrive
3) Up at the address bar, type in C:\ProgramData\Xfire
4) open the xfire_games.ini in Notepad
5) make sure you can find this ID number [6221] and under that ID number should have Blockland (You can also use CTRL+F and search for Blockland)
6) If you cannot find This Id or Blockland, Copy and paste this at the bottom of the INI:

Code: [Select]
[6221]
LongName=Blockland
ShortName=blckld
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blockland\Install_Dir
LauncherExe=Blockland.exe
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
InGameRenderer=OGL
InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE

7) now Save that INI file, and close it. In the same folder, Open up Xfire.INI with notepad.
8) Look at the bottom where it says Installed games
9) Look for the game number 6221
10) make sure it says 6221=1
11) If it does not = 1, or you do not see this number anywhere, copy and place the following at the bottom of the list:  6221=1
12) Once done, Save this .INI, and close it
13) now Open Xfire, Go to Tools/Options...
14) Go to Games
15) See if Blockland is on the Installed Games List

If it is finally there, You have Succeeded

If you Still managed not to get it onto your installed games list, All I can tell you as of this moment, is to wait for another Update.

Radial543 - radial543

Do it.

I don't know why Blockland refuses to work. I keep adding it to the list, but it doesn't launch when I tell it to :/

I think this would go in Off-Topic.

I think this would go in Off-Topic.

You may be right, But It considers blockland more than it being off topic.

What the hell is Xfire?

Tom

Could someone please EXPLAIN what Xfire is and how it makes Blockland better?

Calling me an idiot, but it seems like you lack reading comprehension.
I've looked at the website earlier today. but theres not much there telling what it is. I would rather have someone sum it up and tell me what it does then poking around in a crowded website for an how.

Ill Sum it Up for you, Ill Edit the First post with it. :)

Edit: Re-read the First post to get a Summary of the Featurs for Xfire. Hope you like the sound of it, and join the rest of us using it!

Why do you have to be so rude about it? They just want to know. I read that you said Xfire sucks on another Topic, So why are you involving yourself with something you hate?

you said that here

xFire sucks.

What? I am almost 100 percent sure Xfire is way older than Steam.

Well dammit, we have Google and Wikipedia for a reason, I wish people would see that.
