I'm looking for a good gameplay recording thingamajig. It doesn't matter if it's for free or for money.

What I want :
Microphone compatible - I want to narrate
In-game sound compatible - I want the video to have the game audio
( Note - I want to tone down the game sounds a little so whoever views the video can actually hear me properly)

Compatible with Cave Story - I plan on filming a Cave Story Let's Play and post it on my future youtube channel.
(Note - Cave Story FULL SCREEN, not windowed )

So forum, tell me if there are any recorders that fullfill my requirements :o

Fraps.

Any program that can record in-game sound can also record microphone given you use correct system sound settings.

Okay, WTF? I recorded with a good microphone, I heard no mic sound and no game sound either. This is stuff.

You're obviously not using it right. I've been using FRAPS since middle school and it hasn't failed me since.

I don't think frraps works well with windows 7 :/

Anyway, I select the microphone I use in Cs 1.6, Voxli and all, it works there, but this huge heap of stuff can't even record any sound , same for GAME MUSIC. If this is a recorder , I am Peter Pan.

i have used fraps once or twice to try and record a game.
the FPS went to 1 and stopped recording before i did anything.
damn fraps
I used hypercam and it didnt give me any problems
although i wouldn't recommend it for real games

I tried hitting the button twice,once , closing the game, fraps, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKS. I also have enough diskspace, so that's not the problem.

I didn't even upload it to Youtube you tit.
It's decompressed , installed and has a shortcut on the desktop.

Fraps is clearly stuff.

Edit:Recommend me one that actually works.
