Lol ur late. There are 8-core processors. Although I don't know what that would even be used for.

Goddamn I need to upgrade my processor.

I'm thinking dual core though because as shown with the triple core processors hardly nothing takes advantage of extra cores.

Guys I have an Intel brand computer, any good graphics cards I can get for it? I don't care about price.

Also, I think it's an HP 1740. It has a Pentium 4 3.00ghz processor, can you upgrade your processor?
A pentium 4 3 GHz should be upgraded. It's going to be ancient pretty soon compared to today's standards.

Woah, what in the forget? Since when are there six-core, or lovecore processors?

They'd be used, but I have no idea what for.
Buy one
Open everything you have
???
Profit.

We've had processors with more than six-cores for a while now.

They are mainly used in servers and are impractical because they are usually very expensive and the supporting parts may sometimes also be rare. e.g. compatible motherboard

Unless they're powerhungry processors, that's the only piece of hardware that would have to be compatible with it.

Not really. It's 4 cores with hyperthreading which makes each core act as 2.

That and they are mostly for academic and enterprise environments.

Damn, my laptops gayass two cores suck :(

Academic? I don't know if you go into one of those high-tech schools, but every school I've been to doesn't need 8-core processors to open Microsoft Word.

Not in that sense stupid.

Colleges would be a prime example.

And I don't know about your schools, but every school profile at my school is stored on a master server which allows login from anywhere in the building and a constant lost of documents.

... you can't even use six cores to it's fullest yet unless you do 3D modelling or photo editing.

*Cough, Crysis on high settings.. Cough*

You would get the same performance with 6-cores as with 2.

Last I checked, Crysis can only utilize two cores. I don't believe that there are any games that can process four cores.
