lol, did you really just imply that Britain didn't help America in the war? Your cunthead Tony Blair was just as bad as Bush. Tony Blair was enthusiastic about invading.
And America's military is the most powerful in the world. This is just an undeniable fact. Regardless of your opinions on what America does with it, it is still the strongest in the world.
America is also the richest nation in the world (not per capita, though, thanks to the widening income disparity brought on by rampant deregulation of large corporations and the lowest taxes the richest people in the country have experienced in 70 years).
No, I was implying your men can't shoot straight.
I fully understand that Britain sent troops into Iraq, same as USA did.
Yes, America is constantly made fun of for our fast food chains and incompetent president, but other countries also have their flaws. This has gone on for a long time, and each generation has some other new, fun stereotype to fit into. However, I believe that you've only come to realize this now because you're getting older and becoming more involved with things.
Same thing happened to me when I was like, 14.
Finally, a good post I can agree with. No one said that other countries don't have their own flaws.
I know that Britains government is flawed in many ways. We're just not comfortable with the fact that you can claim to be the biggest and best, and then get annoyed when your own flaws are pointed out.
Mention the things wrong with Britain, and I'd probably agree with them, or atleast be capable of seeing them from your point of view.
The moment someone else seems to make a point about a flaw with your country, or how it appears from your global neighbours point of view though, you seem to get all uppity about it and can't stand to have anything bad said about it. Sometimes you seem too patriotic for your own good at times.
Plus, Stereotyping happens all the time. I've got not problem with the British Stereotypes of "Drinking Tea", "Talking Posh or in a roosternet Accent", "Terrible Teeth". We're allowed to have our own sterotypes that America is "Obese", "Stupid" and "Lazy".
