So today at my school we started to talk about a notorious murder from my area, the murder was really gruesome and got a good deal of media attention, he went to my high school and had enough sports honors to get his picture put up in the hall with all the other athletes.

So in the class people started to say that they should take the picture down from the wall, I said that they shouldn't because he was still a respected athlete, murderer or not.

Needless to say I was nearly lynched

So thus kicked off a grand clusterforget about the morality of having the picture up, me for keeping it up, the rest of my class for taking it down.

So now I turn to you my friends, what do you think?

hell no. if they did something bad, keep their good deeds visible so those who see may know that the person had some good in their heart.

Of course not. An achievement, if not in vain, is an achievement none-the-less. The same goes for a kind and or humble deed. And while his present may be a murderer, his past was one that still held some form of legacy. Every person has a right to his or her past, present, and future, regardless how vulgar - or grand - any may be.

That's how I feel about such. :) <3

Well if someone donated a bunch of money to a good cause, but then went on a massacre and killed twenty people and then himself, I think that people wouldn't focus too much on the donation.
