Cave Story Anime

I was thinking, why the hell didn't the Japanese make an anime after this game? It has all the vital plot elements, long story, and it could be a god damn bestseller. Not to talk about a god damn sequel. But it should keep the nature the game has, turning it into a kid's show would absolutely ruin it.

Tl;dr Cave Story has an awesome story that should be turned into a cartoon.
