Author Topic: Switched to Windows 7, Headset doesn't work (Read 3283 times)

Erh, I recently (Sort of. I've been using it for a month or so.) switched to Windows 7, and my Plantronics Headset doesn't seem to work. The sound from the computer works but it doesn't pick up my voice.
Any help? :u

Go to your recording devices/stereo mix and see if your mic is enabled (set as default device too)

It doesn't even show up in the recording tab of "Sound"

Install driver idk.

With Windows 7 you probably have to search through programs for Device Manager.

Also, it's like Windows doesn't even realize that the mic is plugged into the microphone slot.
(It plugs in not via usb by the way, but the two little cord things that plug into the headphone and mic spots in the front :o)

You should do a google search for some drivers for it for Win7. Vista didn't detect my router on my other computer (USB connection) so I found a perfect installer and then it was fine.

If it's just your standard 3.5mm jacks, it has to be compatible. That is exactly how my mic is, and it works just fine on Windows 7.
