 You can't change people easily these days, first they won't listen and call you a cigarette, and they won't sacrifice their business company and ruin their economy by trying to save the world.

 There are only a few choices left, you create your own society, or you launch a global scale assault to change everyone by force. Humans won't react greatly to this, if the Soviet Union survived they would probably have the upper hand just like China has right now.
