Author Topic: UPS  (Read 1959 times)

I just ordered a graphics card from Newegg with 3 day ground shipping. I ordered it on Wednesday after shipping hours so I can understand why it wouldn't ship until Thursday.

The main point of this topic is to discuss how perplexed I am right now. The package was received at 11PM Friday night - less than an hour away from where I live.  I am confused as to why it takes as long to travel half way across the country as it does something like 50 miles.

It's alot more complicated than it seems bro.

go and pick up the package yourself you lazy bum

Mail goes like 10 different places before it actually goes to the person.

Tom

Sorry, but the world doesn't revolve around you. They are not going to send a truck out just to deliver your package.

If even the did send it to your local UPS at 11, the local UPS probably only delivers during the day, so it would end up getting there at the same time.

It's a lot more complicated than it seems, bro.

Although it's too bad about that as well.

Guyz, the world, It revolves around me.

You guys aren't seeing the point. If it has traveled something like 20 hours since Wednesday I don't seem to understand why it will take just along to go a minuscule fraction of the distance.

Guys lets talk about DOWNS now.

There is alot more to the mailing process than just throwing it in a box and slapping a mailing sticker on it.
Edit: darn you Doomonkey.

it can spend all day in the back of a delivery truck lol. they dont deliver things by closest distance first.

arghh... I understand all of that.

It just seems confusing that it would take as long to cover a short distance as a long one.
