1) How do your parents drop $1750 on a computer for you? I just don't understand how your parents can be not loaded and spend $1750 on a computer for their son.

In regards to what Otis said, I think it can be damaging to make an uninformed decision when it involves such a large portion of you and your parent's money. You could spend half of what you are now and get a computer that would fit your needs and last a while. I don't see why you feel like you need to spend so much money on expensive parts that you won't be putting to 100% use.
