That's 480p, which isn't really HD. It's the same size as SD, only it's progressive scan

That is the same as "PS2 HD."

PS2's native resolution with composite cables is 480i, component cables allow 480p, which gives you a slightly sharper picture, but it is still output at 640x480.

480p is HD for one, 480i is standard.

The Wii Component Video Cable allows you to hook your Wii console system to a high-definition TV (HDTV) or enhanced-definition TV (EDTV) to view 480p progressive output. 480p progressive output displays at a higher resolution than standard 480i resolution. It doesn't display it at a higher resolution, and the only thing you'll notice with those cables is the lack of anti aliasing in every game.

I have those, the edges of games look really pixelated because of the sharpness of progressive scan, and the picture flashes a lot sometimes.

480p is NOT HD, it is ED. (Enhanced definition)

480i - 640x480 interlaced - SD
480p - 640x480 progressive - ED
720p - 1280x720 progressive - HD
1080i - 1920x1080 interlaced - HD
1080p - 1920x1080 progressive - HD

You are not getting any more pixels from your Wii, the picture is only slightly sharpened.

It does not display at a higher resolution. If it did, it would no longer be called 480.

I want this as my TV

I want a normal T.V as my T.V.....

So I can like, fit it in my bedroom and stuff?
Also my T.V is an old piece of awesome, built in VHS player ftw :D

1) Sharpened pixels is what I want, I could always buy a 22" standard def TV and have an uglier picture, but I want ED or HD or whatever
2) I believe nintendo over you.

Get a Samsung TV, they're currently the best brand.
