Why in the world would you respect someone just because they were human, that's just about the worst reason to respect a person I have ever heard, right up there with "respect your elders" and "respect your parents".

Very wrong! Gold shields do nothing they may look cool but they do nothing.
The best shield would be Steel, Gold, Teak or cherry or maple.This shields spark enemies when hit
Lead, gold, teak or cherry or maple would be good as well. This shield pushes eneimes away.
Copper, Gold, teak or cherry or maple.This shield stuns enemies for 3 seconds.
Notice that the first metal i put is the main metal of the shield!
