After doing searching on my name to see what i could find, I came across a rather unfamiliar symbol.

That IS Mogarf. He changed his name.

No i changed my name, But i still have to type in mogarf and my password to log in

And where would one find this option? Or was it removed?

It's a standard smf feature but it was disabled for this forum. For a while the feature was there and I probably have a few topics with random icons because I remember setting it.

It didn't do anything because that set of icons was never actually shown anywhere on the forums.

Nothing, it's decoration. The idea was that you could make important things have a ! or questions have a ? or ideas be a lightbulb but in reality everyone just puts a giant red exclamation point next to their threads, if they even remember to set it.
