I don't see why the IRC is that important anyways. All my friends are either on Steam or in a Jabber-like protocol. Besides, the RTB IRC blows; it's just a bunch of people idling, connecting, and disconnecting from it. I know that in-game PMs are somewhat neat, but I find them to be counter intuitive.
