If given the chance to live as long as you wanted, but also the ability to end your life at anytime, would you take it? A
Or if given the chance to live forever without any possibility of death, would you take it? B
Now don't shake this off with something stupid, take some time and think about it. To be honest I think I would take any chance I got like this. I see it like this: For the time we are all living and experiencing various things and such, we can do what we like and we know about it and remember it. When we die, there is no guarantee any of the things we will ever do in our entire lives will ever be remembered say 30, 40 maybe 50 years down the road. Our conscious minds will vanish from existence altogether and forever.. We will no longer be around to witness anything anymore either so what's the point of being remembered anyways?
To me the core meaning of living with the ability to think, create and use advanced logic, which are some of us humans traits that make us what we are, is to experience everything you can, do everything you can and create everything you can. In most of our lifetimes we will severely miss out on all 3 of these severely. I doubt anyone reading this will ever experience what it's like to go to space or land on a foreign planet or create a mindblowing device, possibly further explore our genetics and what makes us tick. People underrate life and treat it like they are incredibly important or like nothing can possibly happen to them. They also forget about what happens when they are gone. What people will think of them and how they used their life.
I would love to live forever just for the fact I could do what I truely want to, which is to explore the stars without bounds.
Although half of you probably think I'm insane by now, And I know that paragraph is probably pretty hard to follow. Atleast vote on the poll. Maybe give your opinions on the whole idea.
